For Universities – Benefit Types in Higher Education – Program Strengthening

LEARN Logistics is open to support its partnering universities in the purchase of necessary soft- and hardware product, as well as licenses for e.g., simulations to be uses in teaching, or computer processing power for complex calculations as part of research projects. This benefit type is highly customizable and must address specific needs, i.e., LEARN Logistics does not fund mass-equipment such as laptops, etc… for students or faculty.  A good example for a license purchase is the online supply chain simulation The Fresh Connection: Supply Chain Business Game Simulation (inchainge.com). Such a simulation might be used as method to teach students team building, cross-departmental collaboration, and the dynamics of supply chains. Due to the potentially high number of funding cases, LEARN Logistics can only fund a limited number of soft- and hardware purchases or rentals, i.e., LEARN Logistics-supported universities may discuss options directly with their existing focal contacts.
