Eligibility for Funding

As part of its support portfolio, LEARN Logistics provides funding to cover for the Manager’s cost for a specific Management Training module or an entire course. Management Training programs are offered domestically and sometimes are also delivered internationally.

To be considered for funding by LEARN Logistics, trainings and workshops that fall under the category of Management Trainings (for Middle-, Senior-, and Executive Levels), must fulfill the following requirements:

  1. include a detailed curriculum that is publicly available,
  2. be delivered by a qualified and reputable trainer

If those criteria are fulfilled, Managers who are related to Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or Procurement from all sectors, and who are employed in the following list of countries are generally eligible to apply for a Management Training Fee Scholarship: Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania.

Due to the potentially high number of applications and the available limited funding, LEARN Logistics imposes the following rules concerning the application process:

  • every Manager at any level can only receive funding for a Management Training once every five years. Therefore, think about the right point in your career to apply for funding and do not waste your application or even successful funding with an unreasonable application.
  • to increase the chances for a successful application, the applying Manager must proof the benefit and purpose of attending the Management Trainings; why is it important to participate in the Management Training module/course, and what will be happening after successful completion of the Management Training module/course. The application should avoid general phrases and non-distinguishable arguments but show precise and tangible benefits for the applying Manager.
