Internship Opportunities
Description
LEARN Logistics supports internship opportunities during the study period and after graduation. It is essential that students from the supported degree programs related to logistics and supply chain management (LSCM) obtain firsthand practical experience and after graduation enter the job marked in LSCM-related work functions. Therefore, LEARN Logistics offers support for opportunities and financial support for the following internship situations:
- Situation 1 refers to compulsory internships as part of the study program curricula.
- Situation 2 relates to internships for graduates from university.
For both student situations, LEARN Logistics offers administrative support, i.e., assists in the connection with organizations who will take in internships, either still as students or as student graduates. LEARN Logistics collaborates closely with its supported universities to create and manage a pool of organization that will offer internship opportunities. For a limited number of students, and as per selection process by the university, LEARN Logistics can provide also financial support to the student or graduate intern. However, this only applies if the internship is of limited duration and is unpaid by the hosting organization. Financial support usually encompasses transport allowances and can include stipends for living cost. The funding package will be agreed with each university individually and applied equally to all students who will benefit from the internship funding at that university.
Please note that we as LEARN Logistics do NOT offer internship opportunities with our organization.
Eligibility for Scholarships and Funding Conditions
LEARN Logistics will only commit to organizational support and fund any individual student with internship opportunities, if such funding commitment has been communicated and confirmed in writing by LEARN Logistics (e.g., either by email or by funding confirmation letter). The offered support and funding for internship opportunities may differ from university to university, and usually not all student or graduate applicants can be supported due to limitation of funding and resources.
Please acknowledge the following overview to whom LEARN Logistics will provide internship funding.

Funding Type 1: LEARN-University Funding and Selection Process
As part of this funding type 1 internship, generally four parties are involved: the student, the university, the intern hosting organization, and LEARN Logistics. The different roles and relationships are as follows:
- Relationship between the student and the university: as part of the type 1 funding, the enrolled student must complete or voluntarily completes an internship as per specifications in the curricula of the respective study program. The university curriculum determines the scope and duration of the internship, and takes responsibility for the selection process, i.e., eventually determines a short list of eligible students to be pitched to LEARN Logistics for internship funding.
- Relationship between the university and LEARN Logistics: both organizations determine if and what kind of funding for internships can be made available. They together decide on the overall funding amount, the individual student funding, and the overall selection process. LEARN Logistics will review the provided short-list of eligible students and makes the final decision about internship funding. Additionally, LEARN Logistics will work together with the university to develop a pool of organizations that will host interns and therefore offer internship opportunities for the enrolled or graduated students.
- Relationship between the student and LEARN Logistics: the selected student and LEARN Logistics will both settle on a funding agreement that specifies the terms and conditions of the actual funding.. LEARN Logistics will usually not interfere with the operational implementation of the internship, but will retain an observation role, i.e., will regularly performance check with the intern.
- Relationship between the student and the intern hosting organization: both parties usually sign an internship work contract for the duration of the internship period. The contract will also state if the internship is paid or unpaid. As a reminder, students who are privileged to already have obtained a paid internship position are not eligible to apply for additional support from LEARN Logistics – unless the payment they receive is inferior.
- Relationship between the university, LEARN Logistics and the hosting intern organization: all three parties agree that the minimum requirement to secure the quality of the internship as established by the study program curriculum have been acknowledged and ensured by the hosting intern organization.
Generally, all already enrolled students or graduated students from the LEARN Logistics supported study programs are eligible to be considered for the internship funding. Therefore, please consider that LEARN Logistics currently offers Internship support potentially only to students from the following universities. Please note that not all the listed universities always offer internship funding by LEARN Logistics and for all study programs. The amount of available funding for internship opportunities is generally limited.
