For Individuals – Benefit Types in Further Education – Continuous Professional Development
Fee Scholarship
LEARN Logistics provides funding for professionals who aim to participate in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Courses. Such trainings have the purpose to qualify professionals further in contemporary topics, latest research findings, update legislation, and general knowledge in the broader area of logistics and supply chain management (LSCM). LEARN Logistics supports CPD trainings in numerous disciplines such as Health Supply Chain Management, Agro-Logistics, Freight Forwarding, etc… Often, CPD courses help the professional to collect qualification points on its tenure track, to maintain the current position and level, or to qualify for higher ranked positions.
Generally, CPD trainings target professionals that have an academic background, i.e., possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree; or have significant work experience greater than 8 years in their professions.
Eligibility for Funding
As part of its support portfolio, LEARN Logistics provides funding for Fee Scholarships, i.e., to cover for the professional’s registration or submission cost for a specific CPD module or an entire course. Typically, CPD programs are offered domestically and are very rarely delivered internationally.

If those criteria are fulfilled, professionals from the following list of countries are generally eligible to apply for a CPD Fee Scholarship: Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Nigeria, Ghana.
Due to the potentially high number of applications and the available limited funding, LEARN Logistics imposes the following rules concerning the application process:
- every professional can only receive a Fee Scholarship for CPD once. Therefore, think about the right point in your career to apply for funding and do not waste your application or even successful funding if
- to increase the chances for a successful application, the professional must proof the benefit and purpose of attending the CPD; why is it important to participate in the CPD module/course, and what will be happening after successful completion of the CPD module/course. The application should avoid general phrases and non-distinguishable arguments but show precise and tangible benefits for the applying professional.
Notice: Professionals can only apply either for the Fee Scholarship or the Transport Allowance, and never for both funding support at the same time. The application for both funding schemes at different times and for different CPD modules or courses is allowed and not limited or prohibited in any form.
