Eligibility for Funding
As part of its support portfolio, LEARN Logistics provides financial funding for Organizations that aims to offer customized Management training to its Management and Leadership Team. Typically, such Organizational Management Training is offered domestically and only sometimes may involve managers from abroad.
To be considered for funding by LEARN Logistics for the Group/Organizational Management training funding, the application must fulfill the following requirements:
- The management topics, OR the applying organization’s operations, OR the participating Managers, must related to: Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or Procurement, considering a broad scope.
- include a detailed proposal of the topics to be covered during the Management Training,
- if known, nominate a reputable trainer or collaborate organization that will deliver the training (otherwise, LEARN Logistics may provide a trainer from its network)
- details about the organization/the trainer that will deliver the management training (if available).
- details about the proposed start and end date, venue and daily hours for training
- Delivery of the Management Training module shall take place in the organizations’ country of residing; under specific circumstances, also funding can be granted for delivery venues in other African countries. Venues outside of the African content are usually not funded by LEARN Logistics.
If those criteria are fulfilled, Organizations from the following list of countries are generally eligible to apply for a funding for Management Trainings: Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania.
Eligibility for Funding
Due to the potentially high number of applications and the available limited funding, LEARN Logistics imposes the following rules concerning the application process:
- every Organization can only receive a Funding for Management Trainings every three years. Therefore, think about the right time to apply for funding.
- to increase the chances for a successful application, the applying Organization must proof the benefit and purpose of attending the Management Training; why is it important to participate in the Management Training, and what will be happening after successful completion of the Management Training. The application should avoid general phrases and non-distinguishable arguments but show precise and tangible benefits for the applying organization.

LEARN Logistics will only consider applications for Management Trainings that have been submitted online through the following link. Any submitted applications by email will not be entertained and rejected without review.
Your submission for the Management Training must include the following mandatory information and data. Please have all documents and copies available for uploading prior to starting the process. You cannot save your input during the application but must finish the application in one attempt. If you lack mandatory documents or information, you may need to re-start the application later again
- Basic Information about the organization
- Basic data and information about the two people as focal contact points
- General description, purpose and aim of the requested Management Training
- Overview about venue, duration, start date, end date
- Proposed list of topics/Curriculum
- Information about the proposed trainer or delivering organization (if available, otherwise, LEARN Logistics may provide a trainer from its network)
- Overview of approximate number of managers, if transportation and accommodation is required and for how may many Managers
- Will the Management Training module/course provide points toward the tenue track/career
- History of LEARN Logistics funding or engagement
