20.04. – 24.04.2026   ·   Addis Ababa University / hybrid

Lecturer

Dr. Simon Peter Nadeem

This course is specifically designed to focus on conducting Qualitative Research using Qualitative Data Analysis Software (QDAS) namely, NVivo. This course will keep its focus on how to use NVivo for Qualitative Analysis within the field of Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM), however, the approaches discussed and the software (NVivo) utilised are not limited to LSCM but can be applied to a wide range of topics such as medicine, education. The aim is to help students understand and utilise NVivo to facilitate
their qualitative analysis and develop their research to publish in academic journal articles and/or international conferences.
It is noteworthy that the course is not exhaustive in the exploration/utilisation of approaches in NVivo, but it aims to provide broader practical skills of utilising NVivo for Qualitative research in the context of LSCM and develop a publishable research article (for an International Conference and/or Journal).

Simon Peter Nadeem is a Lecturer in the College of Business and is associated with the Centre for Supply Chain Improvement at the University of Derby, U.K. Simon has published in high-ranking peer-reviewed scientific journals such as the International Journal of Production Research (IJPR) and Production Planning and Control (PPC).
