Temidayo Akenroye is an Associate Professor in the Department of Supply Chain & Analytics at the University of Missouri–St. Louis, in the US. He obtained his PhD in Supply Chain Management from the University of Salford, UK, an MS. in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge, UK, and an HND in Geological Engineering from the Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria. His recent research focuses on using supply chain management to address sustainable development challenges such as healthcare, food security, modern slavery, small businesses, and driving sustainability in global consumption and production systems. He is a senior visiting fellow at Lagos Business School in Nigeria, and a member of the Research Advisory Board for the Africa Resource Centre (ARC), a Visiting Professor at the University of South Africa and the University of the Western Cape. Before entering academia, Professor Akenroye worked for organizations in the public and private sectors in the United Kingdom, Germany, Kenya, Nigeria, and the United States.

He has held visiting professorships at universities in the UK, Sweden, China, Malaysia and South Africa. After a professional career in the field of strategic procurement, Dr. Nitsche did his PhD from 2014 to 2018 and finished his habilitation at the end of 2022 at the Technical University Berlin. From 2019 to June 2024 he was the Manager of the Competence Center for International Logistics Networks (ILNET) at the Chair of Logistics, endowed by the Kühne Foundation. To facilitate research on international logistics networks, ILNET follows a practice-oriented approach that integrates logistics professionals through industry working groups in Africa (Ethiopia, Rwanda and Ghana), China and Germany. At ILNET Mr Nitsche also was responsible for founding the African Research Cluster on Logistics and Supply Chain Management (ARCLoS), which is strongly supported by Kühne Foundation. Although currently working in the industry, he also serves as lecturer at TU Berlin and other higher education institutes as well as a trainer for LEARN Logistics trainings. Dale Rogers is the ON Semiconductor Professor of Business at the Supply Chain Management department at Arizona State University. He is also the Director of the Frontier Economies Logistics Lab and the Director of the Internet edge Supply Chain Lab ASU. He is the Principal Investigator of the $15 million CARISCA Project at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana and a visiting professor there. Dale won the Reverse Logistics Education Award from the Reverse Logistics Association in 2023 and is widely considered to be the “father” of academic study of reverse logistics. His long-time association with CSCMP (i.e., Academic Giant- and Distinguished Service Award winner), resulted in his induction into the Supply Chain Hall of Fame. In 2012 he became the first academic to receive the International Warehouse and Logistics Association Distinguished Service Award in its 130-year history. Dale is a leading researcher in the fields of semiconductor supply chains, artificial intelligence applied to supply chain management, health care logistics, reverse logistics, sustainable supply chain management, supply chain financing and secondary markets.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Frank Straube has been Full Professor at TU Berlin since 2004 and since then chairs the logistics department at the Institute for Technology and Management. Prof. Straube completed his habilitation at the University of St. Gallen on the subject of “e-logistics and obtained his PhD from TU Berlin. Besides his academic achievements, Prof. Straube became Chairman of the Board of the internationally active Center for Logistics and Corporate Planning limited (Berlin-Sao Paulo-Boston) with more than 100 employees. Under his professorships, approximately 200 Master students and 20 PhD candidate are enrolled annually, and the logistics institute won multiple prizes, e.g., Germany High Tech Champion Award, and the University Prize in Logistics by the German Federal Ministry for Logistics and Digital Infrastructure. Prof. Straube is an internationally well-known and connected academic with guest professorships and lectures at universities in China, Abu Dhabi, Sao Paulo, Stanford, US, Singapore, Ethiopia, Rwanda und Ghana. Between 1997 and 2009, he was Deputy Chairman of the Board the German Logistics Association, and likewise a Member of the Board of the European Logistics Association from 2000 to 2017.

Since 2010, Thomas is Dean of German Academy of Logistics and Foreign Trade in Bremen (DAV Bremen) which was established in 1959. DAV trains junior professionals with a passion for logistics in close cooperation with higher education academics and active senior managers from associated businesses. More than 7,000 students have successfully graduated from the academy since and have impacted the current shape of the logistics industry in Germany and at international scale significantly. Thomas has been designing and managing study programs in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at various Business Schools since 2004. His fields of teaching cover Strategic Management and Supply Chain Management in graduate and undergraduate programs. In Supply Chain Management, he regularly deploys the business simulation “The Fresh Connection“ to enable students the application of their knowledge and test their skills.
